Christ the Redeemer tour

A private trip up Corcovado to Christ the Redeemer, timed to avoid the crowds and the clouds.

Christ the Redeemer stands 30 metres tall on top of Corcovado, 710 metres above the city, and is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. From the platform you see Sugarloaf, Copacabana, the lagoon and the Maracanã at once.

Enzo picks you up, arranges the tickets and chooses the way up: the Corcovado train through the Tijuca Forest, the official vans, or a private car to Paineiras. He watches the weather and the queues, so you arrive when the statue is out of the clouds and the platform is quieter, usually early in the morning.

What's included

  • Pickup and drop-off at your hotel
  • Entrance ticket and train or van to the top
  • Private guide
  • Photo stops on the way down

Questions and answers

What is the best time to visit Christ the Redeemer?

Early morning on a clear day. The first hours after opening are the quietest, and the light is soft. Corcovado is often in the clouds, so Enzo checks the weather and the webcams before you go and moves the visit to another day if needed.

Can you combine Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf in one day?

Yes. Most guests do Christ the Redeemer in the morning and Sugarloaf in the late afternoon for the sunset. See the Rio city tour for the full day.
